Field of Study: Quality and Sustainability Management*

Fridays for Future got you thinking and you want to know how your contribution to more sustainability in business can look like? Then this is your degree program!

Sustainability reports are becoming more and more standard in all sectors of the economy, dedicated departments are being set up, and social and green start-ups are demonstrating how resource-conserving business practices pay off for companies and society. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is now part of everyday life for many companies. Nevertheless, sustainability remains a buzzword and greenwashing a problem if the people involved do not address the issue and lack the will to change. Well-trained executives are needed as change agents to bring about real sustainable change and to actively shape processes in companies to be more effective, agile, resilient and sustainable. Sustainability and quality management ensure that companies adhere to standards throughout the supply chain and continuously improve.

What’s required here? A desire to get to the root of problems. A desire to work with others to find the best solutions. A good understanding of interdisciplinary relationships. An eye for the big picture and a system-oriented way of thinking.

What can you expect during your studies at VICTORIA? In addition to essential business know-how as well as leadership and social skills, our professors and lecturers will provide you with subject-specific knowledge from practice. The basics of quality management form the foundation.

You will learn to think systemically and interdisciplinarily and to design exchange processes with different interest groups in order

to successfully meet the requirements. In addition to the economic requirements of quality and sustainability management, you will learn, for example, the basics of environmental and energy management, environmental law and social responsibility. With a bachelor’s degree in quality and sustainability management, you’ll be ready to actively shape the future in your company and in society.

Areas of application: Quality management, environmental management, working with integrated management systems, assisting management, organizational development, project management, performing quality and sustainability management tasks in other areas of assignment.

Companies: Municipal utilities (regional and local energy supply companies; public transport companies, other publicly owned companies), retail and wholesale companies in all sectors and types of goods, service providers of all kinds where quality and/ or sustainability management is of great importance (energy supply companies, energy service providers), quality and sustainability management in manufacturing companies, consulting companies and agencies specializing in the implementation of quality/sustainability projects.
